Greetings all . Just wanted to drop a heads up to any of y'all in the San Diego area. It's been a long road, but the documentary film "LOVECRAFT: Fear Of The Unknown" is complete and will premiere at ComiCon 2008 in San Diego on July 24th, 8:00pm.
As a lifelong fan of HPL, creating the music for this project has been a dream realized for me.
I have been invited (along with the production team) to attend the event, and to do a Q & A after the film's screening. It's very exciting to think of how many people will be there, as over 120,000 people attend ComiCon each year. (no pressure.....)
The film features educated insight into the man and his legacy from :
John Carpenter (director - Halloween, The Thing)
Neil Gaiman (author - Fragile Things, American Gods)
Guillermo Del Toro (director - Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy)
Ramsey Campbell (author - Inhabitant of the Lake, Darkest Part of the Woods)
Stuart Gordon (director - Re-Animator, From Beyond)
S.T. Joshi (author/biographer - H.P. Lovecraft: A Life, The Angry Right)
Caitlin R. Kiernan (author - Daughter Of Hounds, Silk)
Andrew Migliore (founder - H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival)
Robert Price (author / editor - Crypt of Cthulhu, The Da Vinci Fraud )
Peter Straub (author - Ghost Story, Lost Boy Lost Girl)
The documentary also features creature art from some of the top Lovecraftian artists including Tom Sullivan (artist, "The Evil Dead" and "Call Of Cthulhu" role playing game).
Hope to see any friendly faces there-

Re: LOVECRAFT doc@ComiCon 2008
Mon, August 18, 2008 - 11:41 AMI recently discovered a recently made 'silent' film of "The Call of Cthulu" at my local library. Not outstanding, but it did have some fine moments.
Have you seen it? -

Sun, May 3, 2009 - 10:30 AMYessir, I have seen that film. It was made in 2005 and tried to re-dreate the look of 1920's german expressionist films. Pretty cool.
